WAS OBAMA ELIGIBLE TO BECOME PRESIDENT?

Who are we to believe? There are so many different groups trying to raise believers. Some say that Obama is not eligible to become President under the U.S Constitution, but supporters claim that he was born in Hawaii. On youtube by typing in Obama birthplace 45 different videos are found. In looking at these videos you are left with; complete uncertainty, disbelief, confusion, and worst of all pounding headache. One video tries to prove that Obama in fact was born in Kenya... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15kDWUJpToo. In watching this video members of the public are in disbelief, what are they to think. This video alone is enough to persuade many people that Obama was not born in Hawaii as he said, but in fact Kenya. It is extremely convincing with the interview, and the explanations given within. With another click or two you can watch videos such as the following...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k3r_Hfo69Y which was sponsored by factcheck.org and shows a video that supposedly proves that Obama's Hawaiin birth certificate was in fact real. To review in ten minutes the watcher has been dragged from one side (supporting Obama) to the other side (believers that Obama doesn't have the right to be President). This is the drastic affect that "pajama journalists" and bloggers are looking for. They have to power to post a video or an article or pictures that can be manipulated in hundreds of ways, that will be viewed by thousands, sometimes millions of people. With this kind of power, and manipulation, what are we supposed to believe?

Choosing a side to believe in regards to Obama's birhtplace is not the end of the confusion. By going on Google, and typing in 'Where was Barack Obama born' there are 40,800,000 hits! That is ridiculous you could spend weeks even months reading all the articles different individuals, groups, and organizations have posted. Immersing yourself into this maze of misleading information, is unbearable. Many people received emails explaining the fact that
Barack Obama is not legally a U.S natural-born citizen. They went even further to explain that if only one of Obama's parents was a U.S Citizen at the time of his birth (his father was in Kenya) the other parent (Obama's mother) must have resided in the U.S for at least five years after reaching the age of 16 in order to qualify her son (Barack Obama) for automatic U.S Citizenship. Being that she was only 18, she appears to have been three years short of automatic citizenship. According to a website, snopes.com that claim would be true, and Obama would not be eligible for presidency if in fact Obama was born outside of the U.S. But, being that he was supposedly born in Hawaii, this would not apply to him, and therefore he would in fact be eligible to run for the Presidency. The website goes a little further to squash another claim that has been circulating. Many have claimed that even though Obama was born in Hawaii, it doesn't count as being born in U.S. territory because Hawaii was not yet a state at the time of his birth. Which they claim to also be false, being that Hawaii became a state in August of 1959, and Obama was born in August of 1961.

I choose to not get involved and emotional about this issue, many others do not follow they will bring things to the table that have either not been verified, or are just flat out lies. It seems it is hard to find credible information on the internet.
